Benefits of Home Staging

Do you really need to professionally stage a property for sale? What difference does it really make?

According to Zillow.com, professionally staged homes "have a 'days on market' range of about 65% less than a non-staged home and the sale price is anywhere from 5% to 20% higher than a non-staged home.  Simply stated, professionally staged homes sell faster for more money than those that aren't staged."

One of the biggest misconceptions about staging is that it is expensive. However, hiring a professional stager is the best investment you can make when trying to sell a home. In fact, in a Home Gain Survey, it was shown that professional staging can bring a 299% return on investment.

But maybe I can just DIY my home staging, I don't need to hire a professional, right?

Professional stagers have training and experience. They have staged many homes and know what works when selling a home. They are unbiased and approach each property as a product to be marketed to the broadest range of buyers.

As a realtor, partnering with a professional stager provides a great value added service to your clients often resulting in faster sales and higher commissions.

See what a difference professional staging can make. Here are some before and after photos from this year's home staging projects from One Pretty House Interiors:
